My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

New Englanders and East Coasters are you looking to adopt a young Lab?

Look no further, meet Dixie Annie. We don't dog DNA test our pups, but she looks like she could be a pure bred Lab.

Dixie Annie is about one year old and weighs about 50 pounds.

She is playful and full of spunk. She loves nothing more than a good game of fetch and picking toys out of her toybox.

She adores people and munching on ice cubes.

Annie got along well on and off-leash in her foster home with other dogs. For some reason, she's developed some leash reactivity in her adoptive home toward other dogs. Her adopter does not wish to pursue additional training and has asked Lucky Lab to rehome this beauty.

Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl should be prepared and committed to doing positive reinforcement training with her to work her way back into the non-reactive zone.

The writer of this post, who is just a regular ole dog owner with no magical skills or dog training certification, has helped two Labs overcome leash reactivity-- it's pretty common. But with a pocket full of dog treats and some guidance your dog can overcome it too! Lucky Lab can get you started on the right paw.

We'd recommend a home with a fenced-in yard (no apartments or condos) and older kids/adults in her future household.

She is housebroken and crate trained.

Dixie Annie is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Apply at www.luckylabrecue.com
