COMING SOON
Meet Spirit! Spirit is a 4 month old Aussie mix. She weighs approximate 22 pounds right now, but is clearly getting bigger everyday.
Spirit had a tough start to her young life and was found as a stray. She did fear bite her rescuer and seemed a tad feral. After being rescued and learning that people are not that bad, she has come leaps and bounds! She needs time to learn to trust new people, but once she knows she can trust you she is very affectionate and loving.
Spirit can get VERY excited when playing and tends to get mouthy and bitey, like most puppies. She does well with redirections, such as handing her another toy or saying a quick ouch! She is crate trained and potty trained, but has a few accidents occasionally.
Spirit LOVES other dogs. She plays up to playfulness of the other dog (if the dog plays rough, she will too). She's very respectful of older dogs and takes corrections from them pretty well, often just leaving them alone if they ignore her. Spirit needs a strong leader who can continue to be patient with her as she learns trust and how to be a good family member. Because of her fear biting background, it would be best for her to be in a home without young kids, probably a dog savvy teenager would be fine.
