My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Sasha! Female. 42.2lbs Lab/Australian Kelpie mix. She is still young/puppy-like in behavior. Friendly, sweet and cuddle bug, but a little intimidated if anyone moves too quickly, but once she knows she's in good hands she does wonderfully. We know she's been mistreated by a man more than likely since it takes her time to warm up. She loves ladies! Would need a little time to warm up to men, so must have patience. She is approx. 1-year-old months old.

She runs like a gazelle. But she also calms down very easily. She's not hyper at all. She plays when it's time to play then comes in and will settle down. She loves to give out kisses. She does well with other dogs and not right for cats. Alone, she would be wanting more attention and would require a stay-at-home or work-from-home female preferably.

She is learning manners and now potty trained, too. She will stand at the backdoor then look back at her human when she needs out. She is better on a leash. She is crate trained, but only for short periods so best to go to a home with a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member. She will lay inside in a crate, at times, with the door open. She is still a puppy and will chew, but given a chew toy and other toys she does fine. She's easily corrected and redirected. Very eager to please and very smart and she knows how to open a door if it's not shut all the way. She requires a 6ft privacy fenced-in yard with plenty of room to play in, sunbathe when she is not inside since she can jump a chain link.

She seems good with big dogs and dogs that are 20lbs & active. Sasha would thrive in a home with one or more dogs. She's active, playful, enjoys playing with a couple of other dogs, and will attach to her human quickly. She still needs a moment to trust people, but then she wants to be with them everywhere. This is why she needs a home with at least one other dog, so she gets to play & learn more about being a dog. Sasha understands the pack rules, never snaps back when others snap at her. She has no aggression and is submissive. She loves cuddling and being pampered by her human and will sleep next to you.
