Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Dandelion is an absolute delight! She was relinquished to animal control due to an unstable home environment.
Dandelion is a good-natured, gentle cuddle-bug. But she’s not just that! She loves the outdoors. She’s been hiking and enjoys it. She is small but sturdy and agile. She gets so excited when it’s time for a walk. (and she is a fast, little walker!) It’s adorable!
She hasn’t had formal training but is an easy dog. She knows how to sit for treats. She’s potty-trained but should go out at least 2-3 times during the day (and that’s about how many walks she’d like too!)
When home alone, she is more relaxed if she’s not-crated. She will also bark out any window that gives her a view of the outside. She isn’t able to see out any windows in her foster home and doesn’t bark while home alone.
This shaggy girl is low shedding but does need to be brushed often and the fur around her mouth and eyes should be cleaned daily. Her scruffy coat is about 3-½”-4” long. She is good about getting brushed. She’d like someone who loves her scruffiness and will not get her groomed so she has short fur. She’s beautiful as is and wants you to think so too.
Dandelion is relaxed around people and strangers. While she gets along with dogs, she isn’t really interested in playing or hanging out with them. She wants to be someone’s focus of attention and doesn’t want to share the limelight with other pets.
An ideal home would be a family without young children. She’d be ok in a home with children 12 and over who are respectful of her. While she’d love a home with a yard, she will also do well in an apartment.
Her adoption fee covers her spay, basic vaccinations plus rabies. She has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. She does have a small hernia but the vet has said it doesn’t affect her health and said that it doesn’t need to be fixed.
If Dandelion sounds like the dog of your dreams and if you can fulfill her dreams (& more!), fill out an application ASAP!! She’s going to be a popular girl and we expect to get many applications. : D
