Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 11/29/2009: Sizani is a gorgeous 10 week old 9 lb little girl who may or may not be half poodle. We know Betzee (our white poodle available for adoption) raised these puppies since they were born, but since they look nothing like poodles, it's up in the air as to what they are! Sizani is getting bigger by the day. She is totally housebroken for the most part. She is a very smart little girl and will make a perfect pet. She is learning to walk on a leash too! She is so smart (she MUST be half poodle! lol) that her training will be fairly easy it seems. She loves her new foster sisters and brother and plays like crazy with her foster brother all day long! She is such a doll and so deserves a chance at happiness! Please consider Sizani if you're looking for a sweet, smart, designer mix doggie. We can't guarantee her final size, but be ready for anything between 20-35 lbs! Note: SIZANI IS NOT A YORKIE!
UPDATED BIO 11/13/09: SIZANI is one of Betzee's 3 adorable female puppies -she is 8 weeks old now and is the largest @ 7#; Sizani is now being fostered in Boynton Beach, FL. The little girls are growing very quickly - their puppy playpen is now only for sleeping and they have been introduced to the wonderful outdoors world where everything is new and exciting! Sizani loves leaping around the backyard with her sisters at her heels - she is more timid than her sisters and would rather be in your lap than on the ground. She is a little more 'needy' than her sisters in that aspect. Sizani has been separated from her sisters, but she has other playful dogs in her current foster home.
Betzee has been a wonderful, protective and loving mom to these three little puppies. Betzee gave birth to puppies at the shelter the day after she was picked up as a stray. Now that the girlies are 8 weeks old, the only one that even remotely looks like she may have a little poodle in her is Sizani's sister, Jabulie - but Jabulie is black and Betzee is white! WOW! The puppies are now eating only puppy food, but sometimes they find it's more fun to play with than to eat! They are also eating cooked veggies and fresh fruit which they love.
Sizani and her sisters have just received their first set of puppy shots, and are due to have 3 more series of shots, 3 weeks apart, which means that their puppy shots will not be completed until the first week in February, 2010. However, the decision has been made that Sizani can be adopted before that time so that she can begin to bond with her adoptive family, with the understanding that the new owner(s) will continue the series of puppy shots at the appropriate time(s)and once Sizani is spayed, the adoption will be finalized. The adoption donation will be adjusted accordingly based on when they are adopted.
These little girls may have had a difficult start in life, but thank goodness the shelter staff cared enough about Sizani and her sisters to want to save their lives. Even though we don't know the girls' heritage, to the right adoptive family it won't matter - all that matters is that they were given the gift of life and so richly deserve to live it to the fullest. Won't you consider adopting Sizani or one of her adorable little sisters? NOTE: Foster Mom Betzee also needs a loving home, as well!
UPDATED BIO 10/29/09: SIZANI is one of Betzee's 3 adorable female puppies -she is 5 weeks old now and is the largest @ 4.15#; she is being fostered in The Villages, FL. The little girls are growing very quickly - they now romp around their puppy playpen and love playing with one another. They are also learning about how much fun it is to play with toys as well! Betzee has been a wonderful mom, but now that the puppies are 5 weeks old, she is nursing less and Sizani and her sisters are being introduced to puppy food mixed with Milk Replacement for Puppies - they love it, but sometimes it's fun just to play with it! Sizani is a little 'chubette' who is definitely the 'alpha' puppy in the pack - she does a lot of growling, but she's just discovering how to growl and wants to do it all the time!
UPDATED BIO 10-15-09: SIZANI is one of Betzee's 3 adorable female puppies - they are almost 4 weeks old and Sizani weighed in today @ 3.31#; Each day brings another milestone for the sisters; their teeth are coming in - they have both upper and lower canines now, they are walking instead of crawling, they are sitting up, and they have become playful with one another. It's so cute to see them engage in play with each other. Betzee is a wonderful mom and keeps them well-fed, clean and happy. Sizani and her sisters will not be available for adoption until they are at least 3 months old, so if you are interested in adopting any of Betzee's puppies, you can complete and submit an adoption application, but will have to wait until they are 3 months old. BTW, they are too small to know what they will grow up to be - but it'll be a poodle mix. Right now they look like they may be Cockapoo-labra-doodle-doo's or possibly Schnoodles!!
INITIAL BIO 09-29-09: MEET SIZANI! Sizani is one of Betzee's adorable puppies. Foster Mom wanted to give the three little girlie puppies very special names since they were very close to being euthanized before UYR pulled them. In the Zulu language, Sizana means "you all helped" - in other words, it took 5 UYR Members and 1 very special transporter to get Betzee and her puppies to their Foster Mom. Sizani and her sisters are now 17 days old and weigh about 1 1/2# each - they opened their eyes at exactly 2 weeks. Betzee is a wonderful and protective mom. Right now they look like they may be Cockapoo-labra-doodle-doo's!!
