ATDR 3317

Say hello to sweet Charlee! ATDR is so proud to bring this gorgeous baby girl into its fold. She’s settling into a loving foster home where her foster mom reports that she is potty trained and, even though they don’t have a doggy door, she will go to the door and paw or bark to go outside. She loves to be outside in the backyard so will need a securely fenced yard of her own in a forever home. She likes to go on walks and is improving on a leash. Be aware that she will eat everything she finds so will need to be carefully watched in this regard! She’s your typical toddler: lots of energy, lots of attention, gets bored easily and wants to play constantly! She will jump up on beds, sofas, etc. to be near someone so she'll need to be discouraged from jumping since it's bad for her back...a ramp or doggy stairs for places like this will be needed. She will try to run out the front door if you open it, so be very careful that she doesn’t do this when you come and go. She's a talkative girl and her bark can be kind of startling: high pitched and loud, so she definitely can’t live in an apartment or condo where walls are shared with neighbors. She currently sleeps in a crate at night, but she will protest loudly for about thirty minutes or longer before she settles down. She is a little tentative when she first meets people. She LOVES toys, so squeakers beware! Charlee does not like female dogs that are smaller than her. She will have to have a doggie friend that is her size or bigger. Male dogs preferred. Charlee doesn't care for kids so no kids please.

If you live in a house with a nice fenced yard and are looking for a precious girl to share all the good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Charlee! She’s absolutely precious, but young…with patience and gentle guidance she will grow into that wonderful devoted best friend you’ve been looking for!
