My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clifford is a handsome 5-year old male Mastiff mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 8, 2021 by Good Samaritans who had found him on Clark Road in the Cutler Ohio area the preceding day and tried in vain to locate his family. Clifford was not wearing a collar so there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag to enable us to locate his owner .. And he was not microchipped.

Clifford has a tan short smooth coat, a long tail, and a sweet face with expressive brown 'teddy bear' eyes that beg for attention, a dusting of white on his muzzle, and short floppy ears.

This good-looking guy has a friendly, easygoing personality. He adored HSOV kennel tech Veronica Saari who accompanied him outdoors for his photo session shortly after he entered our shelter. The look on his face when he looked up at Veronica melted our hearts. Clifford loved the attention that Veronica lavished upon him after he posed for pictures. Clifford appears to be an intelligent guy who would quickly learn new commands with the offer of a 'good boy treat'.

Clifford weighs 78.2 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Clifford will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.

UPDATE: Clifford was neutered on June 7, 2021 and was also given rabies vaccine.
