My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This Dufus of a cat kept walking into a feral cat trap when I was working on a colony. I pulled him out and he went right back in. Hence his name. He is fearless, friendly, and a wild child. On a scale of 1-10 energy level he is about an 11. I do not recommend him for small children or seniors who have thin skin. He still thinks a hand is a play toy, and needs to be corrected with a proper toy that does not bleed. He loves the fishing pole game and is very agile and will leap into the air and do somersaults. He has been outside obviously, but is happy go lucky being a house cat. He is fearless of other cats and dogs. This is the type of kitten that needs an active playmate, like a playful dog or another high energy cat. He always wants to be with you and helping you will all your household chores. This Dufus cat is going to delight whomever gets to adopt him. He is about 5 months old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

All of our kittens are raised in loving foster homes, not in a shelter or cage. They are socialized, curious and engaging kittens. Many have been bottle fed. Our normal adoption fee is $95 and includes vaccinations, alter and a microchip. They are usually ready for adoption at 10-11 weeks. We require a meet and greet for pickup of all our adoptions, sorry no transport available. We hold adoption events almost every Saturday at Rescued Treasures Resale Store in Tehachapi from 11-3. If you are seriously interested in adopting, please fill out an application off our website at haveahearthumanesociety.org. On the first page on the lower right corner you will find the applications for cats. All applications are considered in the order they are received. Once an application is approved a $40 deposit will hold the kitten until it can go home or be picked up. Please email for more information haveaheart@bak.rr.com or call 661-822-5683.
