Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ANGEL is our 8 years old gal being fostered in the Philadelphia, PA area. She just got her grooming and finished up her vetting and is spayed. ANGEL is a bigger gal and is now down to 47 pounds and looking and feeling healthy. Angel LOVES to run, play and bark in her fenced in yard and does well with other pups but would be fine as an only dog in the home as well. She likes to be brushed, has perfect house manners, house trained and likes to sleep on the bed. She does like to bark out window when she sees a delivery truck. ANGEL is very sound sensitive and fireworks, storms and loud noise make her nervous. Angel is also very protective with her home and the people she loves. She needs to be introduced slowly to new visitors and on leash until she gets to know her new visiting friends. Her new home needs to understand it will take a little time for Angel to settle in and she is protective of the family she loves. It’s her home she is protective of and is perfectly fine going to the groomers and the vets.
ANGEL is NOT the type of sheltie that needs to go to dog parks, car shows and adventurous walks BUT on the contrary... she would prefer to stay home in her secure yard, play and love on her family, and sleep on the bed. Her new home will need to understand this and be home much of the time.
We will be looking for the following for Angel’s new home: Large secure fenced in yard in a more rural and quiet area. A quiet home with limited visitors / social events and a home that does not travel much, if any. An ADULT ONLY home with no children or visiting grandchildren. Sheltie / herding breed experience is a must and a home that can physically handle a larger pup and active sheltie play and energy.
Adoption within 2 hours of the Philadelphia area is also important so that we can introduce Angel to her new home locally. Angel is a GREAT loving sheltie gal that bonds to her family and prefers the quiet, less stressful life.
A secure fenced in yard is a MUST and no exceptions. Email Inquiries can be directed to: mikelamontshelties@gmail.com and applications can be download from our webpage at: pasheltierescue.org
