Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET COPPER THE STUNNER!😍
Not your typical shar pei! A complete love bug & total extrovert! 2.5, neutered, male, bone-mouth shar pei who has a big heart who knows no strangers. Full of energy and affection, and he bonds quickly with loving people. He is learning leash walk, is perfectly house broken and knows how to sit and paw. He wants to be near his people at all times.
As expected for a young pup, Copper is a very enthusiastic, needs an active home that can institute structure and routine in order for him to learn boundaries and feel safe. Ideal owner would be a family or couple who loves adventures and can give Copper the exercise and interaction he needs - at least two long walks daily. He is so bouncy and athletic that we even joke about him doing agility competitions! He’s like a thoroughbred and a sight to see.
Copper is gentle and loving with everyone, but his boundless energy may pose concerns for a family with young children or infants. He shows curiosity towards other dogs, but never aggression. He exhibits a strong ability to learn and is definitely influenced by my dogs’ behavior - the good and the bad!
Copper is great in the car and has shown no anxiety about it.He also sleeps through the night, but we are still working on crate training. He is neutered, fully vetted, utd on shots and preventatives. He is hw+ but, he is on a slow-kill regimen that is very manageable. He will be cured.
Future owner:
Dog savvy, Willing/able to continue training, Active lifestyle, Compatible dogs to play with and learn, Fenced yard preferred, or outdoor space,
No children under 8, Probably no cats (depends), Not gone from home long periods and a Firm and confident “alpha”
