Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Gizmo and I'm looking for a nice home to spend my retirement years in. I was well-loved in my previous home, but my person passed away, so now I'm looking for a new place to call home. I am very social and friendly and love to just hang out with my people -- if I can snuggle up to you on the couch or get lots of pets, all the better. I am a very affectionate fellow. I get along with everyone--people, other cats, dogs, you name it. My foster mom says I'm a "tall drink of water" because I'm both handsome and really long and lanky. I spent a lot of time outdoors previously, but I'm really enjoying being an indoor kitty now. I have some arthritis in my back legs, so I'm not always 100% steady, especially on hard surfaces (I'm better on carpet). I also have lost sight in one eye -- don't worry; it doesn't hurt me and I get around just fine! I have excellent litterbox and dinner manners, and sometimes I like to shoot the breeze by chatting with you. If you're looking for an affectionate pal, I'm your guy! Gizmo is a male Domestic Shorthair, weighs 12 lbs and is 13 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and dewormed. Adoption fee is $50 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available cats or kittens, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt-cat/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
