My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REQUIREMENTS:
*FENCED IN YARD
*OLDER KIDS
*NEEDS ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME

Walter here checking in. I am a older gentleman looking for my retirement home. The humans tell me I have “special superpowers“ because the rest of my senses are so great, and my heart is so pure that I don’t even need my eyes. Yep, I am totally blind. But that doesn’t stop me from living my best life. I am heartworm positive and my treatment will be completed April, 2021.

I'm around 6 years old and a Shepherd mix. I've been with my foster family since December 2020 and I've really come out of my shell. When they first rescued me from DACC, I was very shy, thin, shut down, and quiet. Now I am happy, affectionate, loyal as they come, and so very loving and sweet! I enjoy being around other dogs that allow me to move at my own speed and show me the ropes. I have also gained some much needed muscle in my back legs too!

I'm very adamant about making sure my humans feed me at the exact time every day. If you run late don't worry, I'll remind you!

I like to follow my humans around the house once I feel comfortable with my surroundings, which didn't take me long at all!

I dislike change of furniture or my things in the house. I tend to hit my head a lot more trying to get used to things again when things get moved around. So a home without a lot of change is a must. I would prefer a home without any young kids, since I can’t see them moving around. A quiet, calm place for a quiet, calm guy.
