My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our boy Carter has been living the good life in his foster home since leaving the shelter earlier this year. His foster mom loves him dearly and would like to help him find his forever home. Here is what she has to say:

Over the last three months, Carter has gotten extremely comfortable and happy in the world. He has gotten very good with obedience training and knows all the basic commands very well. He is excellent at house-training and super communicative if he needs to go outside. He barely ever barks, but likes to shake his head to make an ear-flapping sound to get your attention. He waits patiently for his food and is good at waiting outside the front door to get his paws wiped off when they are muddy. He also knows some great tricks and is super smart and always eager to learn more. He loves taking walks and (most days) is very good on the leash.

He is an amazing cuddler, loves snuggling on the couch and in bed and just really likes to be close. He will also willingly (and sometimes happily) use his crate. He has never been destructive in the house and loves playing with sturdy toys.

Carter is super sensitive and can sometimes be timid or get frightened. He would do well in a home with people who can be patient and very loving, and he would love a good fenced yard to romp and play. He would not do so well living with cats, as he likes to chase, but he is an excellent ratter and will rid your yard of rodents.

Carter has a lot of love to give and will give it generously to anyone who will have it.
