Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE DONATE, Kiwi had an echocardiogram, cost was about $500. Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/PoochSavers) click ‘DONATE’ PayPal (poochsavers@gmail.com), please make sure it's for 'FRIENDS AND FAMILY,' otherwise, PayPal takes a fee from your donation (Venmo @pooch-savers) Website (https://www.poochsavers.com/donate/)
Kiwi is a senior girl with some senior dog issues (for example, she is on rx food for kidney), but she's curious, fun-loving, adventurous, sweet, and affectionate. She LOVES to go for walks. She will do best in a calm home where she can give you lots of kisses and be spoiled with lots of TLC. Her echocardiogram revealed good news, degenerative mitral valve disease, regurgitation of blood across Kiwi’s mitral valve resulting from degenerative valve disease. Secondary to her regurgitation, Kiwi has mild dilation of both her left atrium and left ventricle, though her left ventricular systolic function is well preserved. As only mild left heart chamber dilation is present, Kiwi's mitral valve disease still appears to be well compensated, and her current risk for the development of clinical signs secondary to her disease (ex. coughing, exercise intolerance, syncope, elevated respiratory rate/effort) appears to be relatively low. She is being started on Pimobendan, which she will likely need to be on for life. Meet her at the Plano PetSmart, 6204 W Park Blvd, Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 and or submit an application here, https://www.poochsavers.com/
