Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Princess has had a tough life so far. We were able to trap her during a TNR project and placed her into a foster home for socialization. Follow-up vet visits determined she would need entropion eye surgery; she had been spending most of her time hiding under furniture and under blankets (which we attributed to her painful eye condition). She finally received her eye surgery last February; at a follow-up vet appointment, the surgeon said her eyes have healed nicely!
Sadly, her bonded sister developed a huge mass in her belly and had to be euthanized earlier this year.
Although Princess is still timid, she is learning how to be a “real cat.” She has discovered how to play with cat toys and will tolerate petting and sometimes can be held. She especially loves her time out on the catio.
Princess is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations; she uses the litter box with no problems, and gets along with the foster’s other kitties.
She will need an experienced adopter who will be patient and gentle with her as she continues in the socialization process.
If you are the type of person who is willing to provide the patience and the love it takes to bring these kinds of kitties out of their shells—and you understand how rewarding it is to see their progress!—we’d love to hear from you.
