My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orie, catahoula leopard dog  blue tick hound (?), 63 lb, male, neutered , 6 yo

Orie is beautiful and graceful and awesome to watch prancing around the ranch. At home he is calm and likes to be close by, but in a tactful way. He is patient, attentive and loves human contact. He watches with great interest what you are doing but doesn't interfere. From time to time he comes up and gently puts his head on your lap - something he could never do before.  He was surrendered because he was one of several dogs and that put the owner over the city limit. So Orie was chosen to go.  He has lived his life in a cage outside the home next to the alley way so he could alert the owners when someone was on their property.  He deserves better! 

Orie is good with the other dogs, but doesn't like younger pups jumping on him, dominating or being into his face. Better with calmer female dogs.
