Ruby: Estimated DOB: 3/22/2020, Lab mix, female, 39.4 pounds, house trained, crate trained, good on leash
This beautiful, intelligent girl is a perfect dog for any family. Ruby is well mannered (house trained, crate trained) and is eager to please. Quick to learn new commands, she obeys many already like come, sit, down, leave it and more. She is clever and enjoys being given a “job” to do. This sweetheart is a cuddle bug and lap dog who likes to be your shadow so she doesn’t miss anything. She enjoys sitting on the porch or by a window at her foster home, watching the birds and squirrels outside. She is very intrigued by the forest critters. She has excellent scenting and keen sighting abilities. Anyone up for a game of hide and seek?
Ruby is shy initially when meeting new people, but warms up quickly and wants to be besties. She’s good natured and playful with other dogs. Retrieving balls is one of her favorite activities and Ruby is quickly learning that retrieving and dropping the ball allows playtime to continue. Playing with her stuffie squirrel, squeaky duck and Kong filled with peanut butter or cheese keep Ruby entertained when outside playtime is over. Long walks and runs through the neighborhood are a great way to exercise with this energetic girl. She is great on leash and prefers a regular collar over a harness. Ruby never begs for food and only vocalizes sometimes.
Ruby is gentle and even tempered. She is affectionate, smart, obedient and very loving and can’t wait to find a find a home where she will be the Best Dog Ever.
