Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mackey.. what a gorgeous, big boy!! WOW!! He is stunning! Big smiley face, twinkling eyes, phenomenal coat in colors and texture.. he is a show stopper!! He is quite the welcoming boy.. with his signature and approachable Malckey "sure! Anytime friend!" He is a lover .. reeeaaalllly enjoys contact and connection.. great look you in your eyes love gazes! Be sure to scroll down for more videos of Mickey boy!!
Mack pretty much instantly befriends everyone he meets. If you agree he may put his paws up on you for more closeness.. otherwise he will keep 4 on the ground while leaning against you legs and turning his handsome face up to dazzle you with more love gazes!! He's a wiggly, happy and super easy going guy with a playful, goofy spirit.
Mackey is completely house trained and has the patience of a saint! This boy hardly ever barks or fusses.. he waits quietly in his kennel for his turn to go out, even early in the morning when he certainly has to pee.. you'll look over and there's Mack simply laying there calmly watching and observing. He most certainly has that lovely "chill button" indoors while he is always ready to get up and go if you'd like too! Mack enjoys being out in nature in partnership with his humans companions.. hikes and long walks are some of his favorite activities!
On the move.. Mack is easy and relaxed on the leash. He rarely pulls and is always checking in with the person who is holding the leash. It's pretty amazing just how well he walks on the leash. He will keep his body attached to yours.. At times some play postures and a swift pace from his handler helped him forget his concerns and he joyfully ran after his new human pal!! He is at first glance a dog with a desire for connection, partnership, play, learning, adventure and fun!!
He does have what seem to be some learned behaviors like some defensiveness and stalling out when meeting dogs. He tends to get stiff and confrontational when he encounters another dog.. especially while on the leash. But with the proper greeting we have seen him let his guard down and play! We aren't sure if Mackey can go to a home with another dog but it's possible a playful female dog would work. Definitely no male dogs for him!
Everyone that meets Mack looks perplexed and asks "Why is such a perfect dog not adopted yet?!".. we have no idea why he's not been snatched up interested in this sweet boy but we can promise you that if you come meet him you will experience a full on Mack attack of affection! No matter what, Mack is an AWESOME DOGGIE and will give you SO much love and cuddles in return!!
