Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malcolm is quite the gentleman! I haven't heard him bark once since he's arrived. While he was shy at first (he liked to stay in his kennel and got scared by quick movements or going to a new room) he has quickly adapted to our home. He now hangs out in the sunny areas. He loves getting petted, going for walks, and mealtime. He knows how to wait and has quickly been adjusting to walking with a leash. He may need the training to learn commands. He is potty trained/crate trained and seems good with other dogs and children (I'm not sure on cats). Someone who likes to get outdoors often would be a great fit. I haven't found a toy he likes to play with yet, but he does love squirrels! Malcolm is estimated to be seven years old and 32 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dog's make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, treated for fleas and given heartworm preventative. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 100 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
