My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Krypto AKA Super Dog is a 7 year old male American Pit Bull Terrier mix that has been at AWL since 9/19/2020. Krypto is deaf, but he doesn’t let that hold him back! There are many benefits to owning a deaf dog, including the fact that noises aren`t a distraction. While deaf dogs can pick up on the vibrations in their environment, they simply don`t have the sound sensitivities that can afflict hearing dogs. Krypto can do just about everything a hearing dog can! The only difference is you’ll communicate through hand signals/body language vs verbal commands. Krypto loves playing with toys, going for walks, getting love/attention, and treats! Krypto has won the ultimate fence jumper award for his amazing speed/agility in jumping fences! A covered outside area and fully fenced yard would be a must for unattended outside play. Krypto is looking for his best friend/buddy. Could that be you? Krypto is available for adoption, to foster, or just simply going out for walks.

Additional adoption info

The first thing we require the Adopters to do is fill out one of our applications. Once they get that turned into us we call landlords, vets, and references and check to make sure their animals have all been up to date and make sure their landlords( if they have one ) are okay with them bringing home a new animal. We also call the references to make sure they are good animal owners. We will also look at whether or not you have a fenced in yard and how big your yard is ( if adopting a dog). We want to make sure we have the best fit home for the animals. All of our animals have their boosters (adult or puppy). Some are fixed and some are not. We do have a spay/neuter trailer that comes to the shelter at least once a month that spay and neuters our animals.

Go meet their pets
