My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucius (born around July, 2019) came to Safe Haven voluntarily as a small kitten, when he was small
enough to slip through the fence into the general population outdoor area. He was very outgoing as a
kitten, but he was more reserved when he came back from a short stay at a foster-to-adopt home. He is
still an extremely friendly cat, but he can be very shy with strangers. Lucius gets along well with friendly
cats.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
