My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber is a sweet, laid-back pup (born around April of 2012) who loves to sniff everything on walks. She has been with SHAS since 2013, when her owner surrendered her. She LOVES peanut butter (even better if it's in a Kong)! She enjoys wearing her warm sweaters in the winter, and she always loves getting her head massaged. She even gives kisses! Amber is very nimble and can climb fences, so she is looking for a home with an extra-secure yard or a home where she will only go outside on-leash.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
