Izzy (born around May of 2016) is a charming dog who loves to get scratches and go on walks with the people she knows and trusts, but she is often very shy with new people. While Izzy is not fond of human children, she has been housed with dogs of all ages at Safe Haven, and she helps keep everyone in the pen in order.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
