Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
** Sly is available for foster or adoption. He has been living in a kennel at our shelter for far too long, and we`re excited to find a new start for our guy. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet and great. **
Sly is on a mission to find his forever home—and he can’t wait to be your best buddy! He might take a little time to warm up, but once he does, watch out! He’s a friendly, playful, goofy boy who loves to jump, run, and show off his silly side. He’s even an adventure-seeker at heart, having had a blast on a camping trip!
Sly dreams of a family who will embrace him as one of their own. He longs for a cozy couch to curl up on, a yard to play in, and a life filled with adventures alongside his humans. If you or someone you know is considering adding a furry member to the family, Sly is waiting with hope in his heart.
Sly is a pro at snuggling and giving puppy dog eyes that’ll melt your heart. His ideal home will have some structure and plenty of love, along with a few snackos to sweeten the deal. Sly thrives around folks who can give him a little space and a whole lot of understanding—after all, the world can be a bit scary for this sensitive guy!
Get ready for fun walks, epic playtime with stuffy toys, and snuggles that will keep you warm as you binge watch shows together. If you’re ready to add a little silliness to your life and give Sly the chance he deserves, let’s schedule a meet and greet. This goofy pup is eager to find his forever adventure partner!
Sly is currently enrolled in a basic training group class at Canine Crews! He`s working on his `sit`!

More about this shelter
CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
