Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Well. People think they want a Dalmatian until they meet one. I have a LOT of energy. Like, so much energy it’s hard to keep weight on me. I also need a home with another higher energy pup to be my friend, and NO CATS. Also, no other small creatures I could chase.
I need a yard, and preferably humans who want to go for runs, hikes, or some other type of adventure with me. That energy, you know?
It would be best if my forever people were familiar with Dalmatians, our nutritional requirements, and common medical issues as well. I need to remain on a low purine diet, please.
Lastly, if you don’t have any pups but are open to two…. I do have a bestie. Her name is Paige and we have the best time together. She’s a mixed breed little lady and I love her to bits. We could be a package deal 😉
Are you my perfect match? Fill out an adoption application here: www.viva-nm.org My adoption fee is $250, and if you want Paige too there could potentially be a multi pup discount.
If you don’t think we’re a match, please share this post. Maybe one of your friends will be the one!
I’m in boarding because I don’t have a foster home, so if you could donate toward that cost it would be GREATLY appreciated. The rescue ladies get stressed about $ often, and it would help a lot!
Pssst it’s me, Koda.
Yup. Still here. Shocking, I know. Why?

All animals are sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. We require an initial adoption application, once accepted pets may be adopted with an approved home check and signed adoption contract. Our adoption fee is generally $200.00, but this may vary in special cases. We do not do out of state adoptions.

More about this rescue
Viva NM Rural Animal Rescue is a group of volunteers dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned pets in rural high volume shelters. We hope to not only decrease the number of dogs and cats that are euthanized through rescue and adoption but also educate the population overall about the importance of spay and neuter programs. We do not have a facility, our rescue is strictly foster-home based.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
