'BAILEE' is a dear, sweet, cuddling girl who is initially very, very timid towards strangers, but absolutely BLOSSOMES in the company of other dogs, and is a terrific, sweet, kind, silly, gentle and fun playmate for a resident companion dog. Bailee needs a calm, gentle, low stimulation home with a patient person and a friendly, confident, playful resident dog (male or female) to help her continue to gain confidence and blossom/thrive further. Bailee is a 3 yr. old; 50 lb. mix female was owner surrendered to our rescue due to changes in living circumstances. Bailee was never properly socialized before coming to rescue, which is the crux of her initial timidity. A patient, slow, gentle routine of will result in Bailee beginning to snuggle, and thereafter, cuddle into your lap with her head under your chin and give soft kisses and 'belly'. Bailee has soooo much love to give, and once she warms to you, her tail will wag with delight and love when she sees you. She has a huge heart, infinite capacity to love, and is incredibly submissive. Bailee loves routine, and you can see the joy come out in her as she masters them. Bailee is treat and praise driven, and nearly melts when you tell her she is a 'good girl'. Bailee is also a FUN playmate to other kind dogs ... she likes to run and do zoomies. Because of her timid nature, we are unsure how she would be with small children. Bailee has never been around cats.
Bailee is spayed, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
