My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. Rosa and Nigel are a bonded pair who must be adopted together. Rosa (on the left) is an 8 year old pomeranian/papillon mix who is a puppy mill survivor; when we first got her, she was terrified of everyone & everything. Nigel is a 1 1/2 year old long haired chihuahua/dachshund boy who is the epitome of social butterfly. He's taught Rosa how to play & has brought her out of her shell. It's been amazing to watch her evolve has he's coaxed her into wrestling, playing chase and even pulling on his tail for attention. Rosa loves tummy rubs & ear scratches from people she trusts; she likes to sleep curled right up next to you at night. Nigel cuddles for a bit but then is off and running; he's extremely active. The best fit for this pair would be in a home with another playful dog. Because Rosa is older, she can't always keep up with Nigel. He can play 24/7 - literally! He's in a foster home with 9 other dogs and as soon as he tires out one dog, he's off chewing on the ear of another. Nigel and Rosa love being outside so absolutely MUST have a LARGE FENCED IN YARD - NO EXCEPTIONS. Nigel is an extreme escape artist and does look for any way to get out that he can so the yard will need to be very secure. Both dogs are crate trained & non-destructive as well as being great with all dogs and people. Rosa is just very shy so needs a quiet home with patient, loving owners who will continue to work with her as she learns that the world & people are safe. If you'd like to adopt this darling duo, let us know! Their adoption fee is $400 for the pair; both are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org (Indianapolis based)
