Aspen is an adorable 1-2- year-old, 20-lb spaniel mix dog. She is very cuddly, always wanting to be with her person. Aspen is unsure in new situations and will need time and patience while she adjusts. Because it takes her a bit of time to adjust slow introductions to people and other pets are needed. Once she warms up to them she loves her new friends. She does great with cats. Aspen doesn't bark much and when she does it's not for long. She sleeps in a crate at night but could easily stay out if desired. She is housebroken as long as she is let out regularly. Aspen is not yet leash trained; she just needs someone to slowly work with her. Aspen rides well in a car. She knows a few basic commands and likes to be told she's a good girl. She does enjoy playing with toys and is learning how to play ball.
Given how timid she can be, Aspen would do best in a home with older children and constant companions whether that be a person or another animal. Most importantly Aspen needs a family that will include her as a family member, and care for her for the rest of her life. Aspen has been micro-chipped, spayed and vaccinated. Her adoption fee of $350 will help with medical needs of the Rescue group.
