My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female, DOB: 6/4/18.

This polydactyl beauty is a friendly, social feline, and every bit as sweet-natured too. More looking to operate in her comfort zone than having reservations or being shy, Lucy is an engaging, sweet, and happy-to-be present lady once given time to warm-up and settle in to any new environment. A total people-cat, Lucy is happy to be in the company of other similar-minded felines and people alike. She's as gentle as they come, while being sensitive too.

Extremely affectionate and loving, Lucy, both welcomes and invites attention from her favorite people – she also readily offers affection to those she loves and like we said, always sweetly so. Her favorite place to be is near her people in her favorite large, soft bed. A cat who simply loves to spoken to and loved on, she’ll show her appreciation with a revved-up purring motor and sweet, gentle kneading. She has a playful side too, and once introduced to catnip or a favorite toy, her inner kitten comes out to play.

A happy, healthy feline, Lucy is looking for her forever home with a family who can give her the time and attention a people-oriented cat needs.

Lucy is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a moderately-active lifestyle. She likes and gets along well with other compatible cats, and she’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs and respectful children of any age given proper introductions and a period of acclimation to any new environment. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Lucy currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.

Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
