OUR ABUSERS GOT TO OUR BODIES, BUT NOT OUR SPIRITS

Ben came to Almost Home after Animal Control seized him from a home where he and Joey had endured years of horrible conditions, neglect, and abuse. Ben is approximately 4 years old.

Ben is a big dog with a big heart. Ben has no idea how handsome he is. Ben will walk on a leash but he hangs his head low and is afraid of noises and sudden movements. Unfortunately Ben has learned to accept his circumstances without any resistance, however horrible they may have been. There is absolutely no aggression in Ben, only fear.

Ben has been 100% housebroken since coming to Almost Home. He was rescued from such horrible conditions that he probably has no desire to go to the bathroom in his room. The vet estimates Ben to be about 3 years old. He is blind in one eye.

Ben needs an owner that will be patient and shower him with love. Ben has never known affection until now. There is a bit of life beginning to show in Ben. He has actually started wagging his tail for one of the employees at Almost Home.

We all yearn for the day that Ben can forget his past and walk with his handsome head held high and his tail wagging.
