My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to the sweetest and most curious puppy, Mini Girl (Minnie). She is a 6 month old Beagle/Dachshund mix puppy who weighs 16 lbs. She will weigh about 20-25 lbs when full grown. She has started a puppy manners class and is doing well. Mini loves toys, rides in a car, and running. She also enjoys playing with other dogs but sometimes can be shy when meeting for the first time. She is most happy when her adorable little brain is being worked with puzzle toys and feeders. She doesn’t even eat out of a dog bowl as she works for her food throughout the day. And you cannot forget, she is a very active puppy. We are looking for a family that will commit to her for the next 15-20 years, appreciate her high energy puppy ways, commit to taking her through a training class, and really work her brain. Minnie will do best in a home with a yard, someone that is not gone all day and preferably has another dog. If you think your family is the right match, please email us. Please note that we do not recommend Minnie for families with children under the age of 6 years old.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
