Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hudson is a one year old Beagle x Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. His ideal family would be someone with no children, or older children only (16+). Previous hound experience is an asset. He was surrendered to us after his previous family could no longer provide him with the care he needs.
Hudson is very energetic and likes to greet people with enthusiasm. He walks great on a leash and enjoys long walks and lots of outdoor time. He'd make an excellent hiking buddy. Hudson is friendly with other dogs, currently living in foster with two, but is unknown with cats and therefore we wouldn't recommend. A home with a fenced yard is recommended. He is fully crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night and when his foster family isn't home, with no issues. When Hudson is excited and in a playful mood, he does enjoy singing the song of his people (also called baying) and it is LOUD, therefore he may not be ideal for someone who lives in a condo or townhome. Hudson would do well with another dog in the home if the personalities match but he would certainly love to be the only dog in the home and soak up all the love and attention from his people. Hudson is a very good dog and a huge snuggle bug, he is a young dog that is still learning and needs a family who will set clear boundaries and continue with his training. He is extremely food motivated.
His adoption fee is $600. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
If you are interested in adopting Hudson, please complete our application. We always place dogs in their forever homes based on best match.
Hudson is currently being fostered in Cambridge, ON.
