My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I know you're currently saying to yourself, 'this does not look like a Jack Russell mix'! Trust me when I tell you that she is! She just looks more like the boxer in her...like a tiny boxer! Thelma is really a sweet girl once she gets to know you. Earning her trust has been such a satisfying experience and so worth any time that it has taken. She is 3 years old and weighs around 18 pounds. She is a stocky little firecracker, which is one of her best traits but can also get her into trouble with some pups. She can be a bit of a bully to other females so she would do best with a male pup in the home or as an only dog to a human who is home much of the time. She arrived with her sister, Louise, and we thought they were bonded. But now that some time has passed, we realize that though they love each other, they do not rely on each other. Thelma is a quick learner and has done well with initial leash training. She will need to be adopted in the So Cal area and must have a secure backyard.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy.
Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip.
An in person home check is required.
