NELLY is possibly one of the most pleasant little girls we have been lucky enough to meet. She shares her foster home with another dog, a cat and a preteen and has done wonderfully with them all. She has been a perfect house guest since day one. NELLY enjoys sleeping in bed with the little girl in her foster home and is always ready to spend the day, snuggled up close to someone. NELLY is a laid back girl, who enjoys watching everything around her. She rarely participates in her foster sister’s shenanigans and is incredibly content just being an observer. This precious nugget will put a smile on your face when she gets excited for her walks, is sporting the latest in dog fashion or when she looks at you with her little tongue barely poking out of her mouth. It’s all priceless. NELLY rides well in a car, is potty trained and is also great in a crate when no humans are at home. She is all around just a pleasure to be around. Her lucky forever family is going to have endless happy memories with this girl!

NELLY is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
