My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Timber to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Cane Corso/Australian Cattle dog Cross. He is 2 years old. He weighs about 80 lbs. He is very attentive and loyal. He says right beside his human and isn’t much interested in wandering off. He must go to a home where he will be an only pet, as his current owner/foster cannot keep him with the other resident dog. They must rotate the dogs for play time. He loves water and is a big swimmer. His foster has specified that a new home MUST give him regular and frequent access to swim time, and therefore needs to have a pool or waterfront home, or be willing to take him somewhere to swim. He is very much like a therapy dog and really enjoys being touched, rubbed and cuddled. He is very affectionate toward men and his foster mentioned that he would be great for a Wounded Warrior looking for a companion. He isn’t great on car rides but he can learn. He lives in a country setting so he is not familiar with the big city sounds. He would do best with a more home body type person that wants companionship. He could play in the yard some and then be ready to curl up next t your feet while you sit and read. He is moderately active and good with all people he has met. He is healthy, up on all vaccines, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas with the Rescue and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states
