My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Raymond. I’m a very handsome black and white 8 year old Great Dane mix, around 60 lbs. My owner is unwell and unable to care for me so he brought me to The Right to Live Rescue so they could find me another family to live out my golden years. I’m easy going, potty trained, crate trained, and love to lounge on my orthopedic mattress for a little snooze here and there (or for half the day). I need to be introduced to any new dogs as I get a bit nervous when I meet a new pup but will relax once I know they won’t hurt me. I would love to meet you, have lots of belly rubs and be your new friend. I love all people but I would prefer a home without children – I’d like to enjoy my golden years laying around and taking it easy. I enjoy treats (keep them coming) and spending time exploring the yard and laying on the grass after it's been cut. I’m good with other relaxed dogs and great in the car. If you are interested in helping an old timer out, please contact the lovely ladies and complete an application.

All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.
