My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ceasar is still patiently waiting for his happy forever family to find him. Ceasar is believed to be a 4-year-old Plott Hound/Boxer mix/side kick pup. Ceasar loves daily walks, enjoys car rides, happy with down time, excited about outdoors adventures, and pleased with human companionship. He truly is a great dog and happy with every person he meets. He is even been amazing with dogs too. Unknown of cats but that's on my to-do list. I've taken Ceasar to work with me several times and he's done amazing. I truly believe Ceasar would do great with older, mature, calm children who are well mannered and dog friendly.

Ceasar is not a barker, he prefers his crate when he eats. He takes treats easy too. However, Ceasar struggles with food and water guarding issues which we have overcome mostly, but common sense is crucial. Mostly, this behavior is due to fear. Fear of going without food and or water again. That is why he has resource guarding behavior. We have worked hard and continue to do so to overcome it. Ceasar needs a consistent home, continue his basic and confident training, daily walks, and patience. He desires to be part of the family. He has come a long way. Lots of positive reinforcement, praise and assurance is a must.

Ceasar thrives with human and canine companionship/ interaction. He is so much more confident and balanced as well as calmer when he feels included, like he belongs. Ceasar's mellow, quiet energy is enjoyable and makes continued training simple. Ceasar is truly an awesome dog seeking a very happy forever person to share his happy forever home with. Ceasar can be very athletic if need be. Ceasar joins me on 3 mile walks daily, makes good company while I enjoy my morning coffee, happy when he gets to join me at work or to run errands. Is there a family willing to love this sweet boy forever?
