My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Lily was a stray found on the streets of Tijuana at the age of seven weeks. She is now 10 weeks old and currently weighs four lbs. but will probably be around 20 lbs. when fully grown. She is a short hair mix of undetermined breed.

Even though Lily was found on the street, she is very resilient and has adjusted to her new foster home very well. Lily hangs out with two ten-pound male and female Chihuahua mixes and a 50-pound female German Shepard mix. She has a young dog mentality when playing. She is in her teething state and likes to chew on everything; a good chew toy or long-lasting chew treat is highly recommended for her.

While she has a medium-to-high energy activity level, she can chill with you especially if you are holding her. She is adjusting to training and learning not to bark or cry when she is in her kennel and she is making great progress.

Lily has not displayed any aggressiveness towards other dogs. An introduction to a larger dog would be OK as long as it is properly done. She is learning “sit” and “walk” and is being housetrained by an experienced foster mom who is working with her to get her ready for her new forever home. Leash training is also in progress. She is microchipped and vaccinated and is keeping her paws crossed for that special family to call her own!

Generally speaking, puppies should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats. Of course, all puppies will need to be housetrained. Puppies obviously need a bit of attention, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or be able to make frequent visits during the day.
