Koka was surrendered by his former owner when his owner became displaced and could no longer care for his dogs. Koka had lived his entire life with his previous family, so we can only imagine he is feeling displaced himself! Despite this, Koka is a happy boy who loves to give kisses and tail wags. Koka just turned 15 years old, but is young at heart. Koka is a 12 lb Yorkie Poodle mix, who should be about 10 lbs. He's super food motivated and isn't picky at all, and his waistline shows it ( : He walks well on leash and goes outside to do his business. Koka got an A+ on his bloodwork, his heart is healthy and he still has good vision. He may have a little hearing loss. Koka has some arthritis in his back so will require ongoing medication for pain relief. Koka also has a bit of a collapsing trachea, but only seems to cough when he gets excited. The best type of home for Koka would be one that has a soft spot for the oldies but goodies. Koka would do best in a home with an area to go out for potty breaks or short walks, and a home on the quiet side would work well with someone who is home more often. Koka gets along fine with other dogs and was with another small dog in his previous home. Koka is having his dental on 5/7/21, so will also come with fresh kissable breath!
Koka's adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, registered microchip, vaccines current, deworming, flea treatment, grooming, current bloodwork and dental. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org
