Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Midnight is an eight-year-old, smart and loyal 78-pound, male black lab-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Midnight likes to keep busy with stuffed Kongs and puzzle toys – especially if they are stuffed with hot dogs, chicken and cheese.
He will thrive as the one and only pet in your home. He has a high-prey drive so he really can’t share a home with cats or small dogs, and will bolt towards rabbits, squirrels and other critters while out on walks. He’s really just a homebody who loves snuggling with his humans on the couch and exploring his own fenced-in yard, and playing FETCH!
Midnight was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and came to MLRR when his family relinquished him to a local shelter.
Midnight is an anxious fellow, but he takes daily medications that have really allowed him to relax and enjoy what life has to offer.
He is healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, on monthly preventative, and microchipped.
Midnight is housebroken and crate-trained. He takes treats gently, appreciatively and often.
He’s great with his people – best with adults and teenagers.
His adoption fee of $225 benefits the rescued pets of MLRR

He’s being fostered in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield.
