-----------------------------------------

Hello everyone! My name is Veer and I am from India. I was born on the streets where I was fed and taken care of by kind humans everyday. However, one unfortunate day, I met with car accident that completely crushed one of my back legs, and made the other one really weak at that time. My name, Veer, means brave in English. True to my name, I'm a very brave boy. I was only 4 months old, when I had to get my back leg amputated. After the surgery, I tried getting up, but I couldn’t. Then, my care taker took me to physiotherapy sessions for the other back leg and I made a tremendous recovery.

Today, I'm one-year-old and have already seen so much, I think it's time for me to relax in the company of some great humans. I've learnt valuable lessons form my accidents. Even when I lost a leg, I kept my spirit high. I live my life to the fullest, savouring every meal, every walk and every lovely interaction that I have. I’m a big love bug. I want all the attention and love you have to give. My eyes are hopeful and are filled with a lot of love. I am emotionally cognizant and expressive, and I absolutely adore children! I love visiting parks, walking outdoors and meeting dogs. Among my kind, I get along well with female dogs better than male dogs. I have been told I'm a ladies man ;) Loud noises don't bother me much, so being outdoors is a lot of fun for me! I walk well on a leash. I usually go for 2, 30 minute walks in a day. I would also love just to hang out in your backyard for a while and watch birds when the weather is nice. I'm strong enough to go up and down some stairs as well, so that's no problem!

At home, I enjoy sleeping on the bed or sofa, though I am crate trained so that's also an option. I am also completely potty trained! I don't have any food aggression, but prefer to take my meals separately from other dogs. Please don't feed me kibble; it doesn't suit me. I am currently eating a high protein raw-meat diet and need to be kept on the same. We want to make sure my back leg continues to remain strong. I am also taking a vitamin for hip and bone strength. To keep up with the progress I have already made, it would be so helpful if I could continue my laser physiotherapy sessions and aqua therapy session once a month. These things will help me ensure my back leg stays as strong as possible. Maybe after 8 or 9 more years, I may need a dog wheelchair, but that's a long way to go! First, I want to enjoy my youth with my furever family!!
