Hi Friends! My name is Reginald (Reg, Reggie for short). I am a sweet pittie mix who was found roaming the streets of Eado (east downtown Houston) all by myself. Luckily, some nice man found me and got me connected with AJL.

The first couple of months were rough for me. I had several masses that needed removal, skin issues, a pretty gnarly UTI, an ear infection and I found out that I’m heartworm positive 😔. Since I came into the program, I’ve had my masses removed, my UTI has been treated and my skin allergies are at bay.

Over the next several months, I will be treated for my heartworms (yay!). Please don’t let the heartworms scare you, they are treatable and my vet is confident that I’ll respond well to the treatment.

Outside of my health stuff, I’m such a good boy! I’m people friendly, low energy, cat friendly and dog friendly. I’m potty-trained but please NO crates! The one time I was crated, I tried to break out and got injured pretty badly. But don’t worry, you can trust me to not chew on your shoes or destroy your home when you’re not around!
