Daisy is the sweetest little friend who just loves being around you. Everything she does is so cute. She is friendly to everyone she meets! It takes a little bit to get to know her and have her get comfortable with you, but when she does, she will love you unconditionally and want to stay close to you!
Daisy is eager to explore. Her size and attitude make her very convenient to bring around to any dog friendly excursion. Daisy’s favorite things include: walks, quality time, petting, Greenies, being chased around the yard, car rides, exploring new places, and lots of cuddles!
Daisy’s ideal adopter: Daisy would love to have multiple people around to show her attention and take her on walks and errands, or one very committed person who could provide that for her.
Age: 11
Breed: Pomeranian
Weight: 7.5lbs
Kid-friendly: Daisy has lived with older children and done well. We recommend a home with older, considerate children.
Dogs: Daisy can be a bit skittish of large dogs at first, but she adjusts well. Generally, after some sniffing, she ignores other dogs.
Cats: Daisy typically ignores cats.
Crate trained: Yes! Right now, Daisy is only crated for an hour or two a day, but she loves to take naps and rest in her kennel when her foster mom is home throughout the day.
Potty trained: Yes! Daisy may have an accident or two when she is first acclimating to a new home, and/or when she gets very excited about something, but she picks up on routine quickly. Daisy will let you know when she needs to go out if you are not picking up on her cues. Daisy will come look at you, and sometimes whine if she needs to go outside.
Health concerns: Daisy has a luxuriating kneecap, meaning that it will slip out of place for her. This has only happened twice with her foster, both times on walks, and she limps and shakes it until it goes back into place. Daisy also has some age related hearing loss.
Adoption fee: $375
Our dogs receive heartworm and flea/tick prevention each month. Dogs that have stage 4 dental disease will receive a dental procedure in rescue. We aspirate all lumps and remove those that our veterinary partners suggest removing. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.
