My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muggie is a 3 year old dog that has been through so much in her life. After her owner passed away, she was left in the basement inside of her crate for 6 long months. She was checked in on periodically only for feeding or to go outside. Other than that, she would spend her days alone. She has developed trust issues and has gone through 2 months of intense behavioral training with an amazing behavioral trainer.

Before training, she would be startled with any noise, cars passing by, a bicyclist passing through, etc. Even worse if a person were to walk by. But look at her now! She's gone from an aggressive dog with behavioral/trust issues to a beautiful well behaved girl that we are SO proud of! All it took was a patience, training, love and most importantly time. Now she just needs a home to learn to love. With ample time, love, and patience, she will show you that she loves to play and enjoys going on long walks. We want to find her a place she can call home and stay there forever. What will she give in return? Whichever lucky family gets to grow by her 4 paws will receive a lifetime of gratitude, love, and trust. This is a BIG deal!

She's traveled a lot. Currently, she's in Allentown, PA. Her perfect family would live nearby and have no other pets, since she is not a fan of long car rides and likes having all the treats to herself. She does, however, do well with large dogs but a home where she is the only pet is preferred. She has been bounced around a lot in her life and needs a stable home that will be able to dedicate time into continuing her training. This babygirl needs a home that will tire her out with walks, play and adventures! She does well with children 10 years and older. She has been tested around children (10years and older) that have had experience with large dogs and understand that space is needed for a new dog at home (ex. child gives her personal space and lets Muggie go to him/her once trust is gained). If the perfect family might be yours, please contact rescue@zoeshome.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip, as well as up to date vaccines and flea/tick treatments. Muggie needs an experienced adopter that is able to give her a home with space to get used to her surroundings. Please help us show Muggie that not all humans will harm her and let us show this young dog a second chance at a beautiful life!
