Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Annette! This poor 11 year old gal came to us with out of control diabetes that over the last few months, we have thankfully been able to get under control. She is completely blind and therefore does take some time to warm up to new people, but once she is comfortable, she is a total love bug :)
Annette is house trained and crate trained, but does have an occasional accident, so she would need someone who can let her out regularly. She has lived in homes with other dogs, but would prefer her housemates to be older and low energy. Also because of the fact she is blind, we do not think a busy home with children would be a good idea. She is a Golden Girl and is looking for a quiet place to retire!
Because of her diabetes, her adopter would need to be aware she will not only need insulin the rest of her life, she will also need to have regular blood glucose curves done to make sure she is receiving the right amount of insulin. Annette is getting used to getting shots, but still isn't a huge fan of the whole thing and will require a muzzle at least until she gets used to you. She is also on prescription food and that will need to be continued as well.
Annette's adoption fee is $150 and she will come fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Interested in adding Annette to your family? Please submit an adoption application through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com .
