My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TRACE ....adopted!!

Trace is a 2 year old Labrador mix weighing about 55 pounds. Trace has all the fine qualities of a great Labrador. While he might not be a full Lab, he is 100% adorable.

Trace is sweet, smart, outgoing, friendly, and eager to please. Whatever he may be doing, Trace is all in! At meal time he eats enthusiastically. At playtime he’s so quick, we are not sure he even touches the ground. (We like to say he can fly!) When he snuggles with you no one else in the world exists. Trace enjoys being involved in all of the day to day activities and is happiest when he has someone to shadow. He does not like being alone. He would do best in a household where someone is home most of the time, or with someone who takes him everywhere.

Trace enjoys being active and needs plenty of things to do or he will get bored. This smart cookie has figured out how to open doors, which is nice when he opens the door for you to go back inside, but not as fun when he goes into the pantry looking for a snack. Trace really loves having your attention and may jump up or paw at you until you give in. He believes personal space is something you share with him.

Trace is young and playful and loves children. He can be very bouncy and quick, so he’d be too much to handle for kids younger than 8. Trace gets along with other dogs nicely and would do well with another dog who has a similar energy level. His foster family has senior dogs and he doesn’t know why they don’t play with him more. Every day is a new adventure with Trace and you will love every moment of it.

Trace is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and has completed all of his veterinary care.

We would love to find a family for Trace with a nice fenced back yard to play in, maybe a couple of kids or another dog to pal around with. If that is you, fill out our adoption application to meet Trace! Our adoption fee is $295. www.LoneStarLabRescue.org
