My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is a one year old dog who is half Jack Russell and half Rat Terrier. He is about 21lbs and has been living in a house with kids, cats and dogs and did well with all of them. He is pretty playful with the cats though so older cats, or cats who have never known dogs, might not be appreciative of his antics.

He is very playful and loves his squeaky toys. He loves to play with other dogs as well. His current foster home is working with him on some of the training he didn't get in his former home, but he will benefit from a formal obedience training course.

Jake is a smart, high energy dog who needs someone to give him lots of time and attention. His former owner has told us Jake had separation anxiety, but so far in the past few weeks of foster care he hasn't exhibited these behaviors. He has done well in his crate for longer periods of time and has also been beautifully behaved when left alone confined to a room. We do think it would be ideal for Jake to have a doggy companion for company.
