My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muffi's story:

Like oh so many cats in shelters across the country, Muffi came into our care because her senior owner had to go into assisted living, where unfortunately most of the time, pets are not welcome.

This sudden change in Muffi's life left her feeling very scared, and she took to hiding most of the time. Due to the time and patience of our many cat volunteers, she has made great strides and is now frequently seen in her community cat room out in the open! One of her favorite places to sleep is on one of the few recliners in her room.

Muffi is a sweet, gentle and mild-mannered cat. She has never been seen picking on the other cats in her room, and is very content to simply watch the world around her. Some of her favorite pastimes are looking out the windows at all the birds or cuddling up with another cat in her room.

We feel this senior cat (she is 11 years old) would feel the most comfortable in a relatively quite home. We do not know how Muffi would be with a canine friend, but one that is respectful of her space would be the best match for her.

Timid cats can blossom when they are taken out of the shelter environment, so don't let her shyness deter you. Many times these types of cats just need the right environment to come out of their shell. We just know the right person is out there for Muffi!
