My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Lolly is the lucky recipient of a grant from one of our supporters that has donated toward her adoption fee. Thank you for considering this luscious babe!

Cuddles. Waddles, Smiles. Tug Time! Fetch Time! Walkies! And all the loving. Lolly is a teddybear come to life! She’s looking for someone to love who will love her right back.
Lolly is a beagle dachshund mix who has two speeds: cuddles/snores and full-on rasslin play. She loves all people, greeting new folks with joy, and would be good with children 8+. Lolly likes other dogs, but her attention is on people. She is house-trained and crate trained. She always has something to add to a conversation with her "beagle bark" and often with a doggie smile. She would do best in a home with no more than one other dog, because her beagle self tries to keep everyone in their proper places, so she gets upset when she can't make that happen.
Full disclosure, Lolly is a bit of a snorer and snorts with joy while rolling around on her doggie bed. She loves to play with her stuffy toys (gentle tugs please!) and to fetch them for you while you watch TV. Slow walks and cuddles is what Lolly is all about. She is also very attached to her people and will want to be near you (if not cuddling you) whenever you are home. We have not seen her with cats, but she does not seem to have a strong prey drive so would probably be fine with a kitty. She lives in a house with backyard chickens now and doesn't chase them.
What to know before applying for Lolly: She came to DREAM with a back injury. She'll need an adopter to keep her slim, trim and avoiding acrobatics. She will need a home with someone who will make sure to keep her weight in check and limit jumping on/off things. She does not do well with full flights of stairs, although she can climb and go down stairs in general (we think maybe she fell down a flight of stairs at some point, and is now afraid of tall stairs). Because of her loud beagle bark, we don't recommend an apartment or condo for Lolly where someone might complain..
Lolly's adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in adding some joy to your life, please complete our online adoption application at: https://www.dreamrescue.org/adoption-application-1
