Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lacie is an extremely beautiful, sweet and handle-able tri-color, four-year-old calico Abyssinian female guinea pig looking for loving guardian along with her best friend Luna the brown and tan teddy bear guinea pig.
Lacie and Luna’s military family was transferred to Japan and the girls were relinquished to Friends of Petraits Rescue.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited Timothy and orchard hays, limited pellets, and fresh vegetables including red leaf and green leaf lettuces, dandelion greens, cilantro, parsley, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, carrots with tops, etc. They can have teeny tiny pieces of fruit occasionally including oranges, grapes, watermelon, apples and pears.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting excellent web sites like http://www.guinealynx.info/
Lacie and Luna would love a home with people who will hold them and interact with them daily, keep them well fed, and keep their habitat nice and clean.
If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Lacie and Luna, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment to meet them at friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
Their adoption fee of $60 each benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. For an additional $75, we’ll include absolutely everything you need to care for them including a cage, hidey hut, water bottle, pellets, litter and hay. All you need to buy is fresh greens!
